REVIEW

It was both a truly
amazing & weird experience - firstly, the whole place
resembled a mass mud wrestling ring, secondly, I was the only
Asian there, other than the performers!
It was quite quirky
watching someting in the region of 80 000 white mud faced
people giving it to Bhangra, and the performers loved it!
All in all it was DEFINATELY
worth the trek, Jay Sean really shone &it was definately
a once in a lifetime experience! I hope they do this again
next year!

Besides The Br-Asian
Experience, other Dome highlights included Global Headfunk,
Reggae Sounds featuring the Mighty Jah Works, and Future World
Funk Everything from Turkish belly dancing breaks to Celtic/dub
crossover beats.

Lost
Vagueness to Showcase First British Asian Music at Glastonbury

British
Asian music will be represented at Glastonbury Festival
for the first time this year, in an all-nighter blasting
out of the Dome an Eastern-styled live performance
tent located in the Lost Vagueness area. Midnight til
7am on Sat 26 June sees The Br-Asian Experience;
bringing the best new Asian artists presented by Br-Asian,
founder of the Asian Music Awards (equivalent of the
MOBOs).
Headline
performances are from Radio 1's Bobby & Nihal, BBC
1xtra DJ's Punjabi Hit Squad, Raghav, Rishi Rich project
feat Jay Sean & Juggy D, Zeus, Metz & Trix,
Sonik Gurus, Shiva Soundsystem, Kismet, Sona Family,
Dhol Academy, Urban X Street DJs, and special guests.

The Dome is a
collaboration between Continental Drifts and Gaiaspace,
and is supported by Arts Council funding. An 18 metre
space-age silver temple amidst the Lost
Vagueness fields glamorous blend of sub-cultural
madness, it features surround video visuals from Pentavision,
tasty Eastern bites, and a chilled out Sheesha bar.
Chris Tofu of
Continental Drifts comments: This year, the Lost
Vagueness field is diversifying its already progressive
and quirky blend of entertainment by presenting the
biggest talents in Eastern music. The Br-Asian all-nighter
is one of the most definitive and significant events
at Glastonbury 2004, taking Asian youth culture to a
wider audience.

Did
Glastonbury make our Rishi / Juggy / & Jay Sean
bad boys in true Rock'n'Roll Style ??!!??
