This
is the last chance to see this wonderful exhibition. Showcasing
Arts and Crafts from India and Pakistan, 'Made from Memory'
is an exhibition, which includes large-scale photographs,
audio and video histories, a 6ft puppet made by Spinney
Hill School and a textile hanging created by Spinney Hill
Asian Elders. While the beautiful textiles and objects
are the main focus, the themes holding this exhibition
together are the fascinating stories told by the craftspeople
from India and the UK.

Traditional
techniques can be used to inform contemporary artwork.
'Influences' is an exhibition of work created by emerging
artists with a strong interest in Indian arts.
Navrang has commissioned an expert in Indian arts, to
work with emerging artists, in order to create a body
of contemporary works, blending their own styles with
traditional techniques. The Arts Council of England through
the Grants For The Arts program has funded this project.
