Dehaktay Angaray - 22nd - 25th April 2004

Location: Watermans Art Centre, Brentford England UK

Intertior: Classic Brtish Theatre

Crowd: Mid 20's /30's, predominantly 40+ 1st & 2nd generation Asians

Dress: Smart

Event Rating: 4/10

I was quite looking forward to this adaptation of Yasmin Rezas novel - unfortunately the drab performance and the farsical hiccups during it reduced it to a comedy of errors. So disappointed - left halfway through. Not likely to attend any further events with this director. The only positive thing about the evening was the venue-Watermans does exceed itself in being a truly cross cultural "arty" venue to go to.

Location: In the basement, near Khans

Intertior: Cosy, tiled, ethnic influences

Crowd: early 20's / Mid 30's Mixed British Asian & white/foreign crowd

Dress: After work / casualwear

Event Rating: 9/10

The innovative music detracted you from pretty much anything at the venue. Its hard to believe music of such calibre was being played at such a venue.... ie Lata singing in the Queen Vic - ok, maybe not that extreme.... but near enough
The venue could've been better - the music would be hard to beat. The crowd was generally a mixed one - there to chill & listen to music, rather than meet new people.. or was that the effect of the music. Mesmerising music, nice looking people... especially DJ Pathan :o) - great music & great looks. Would definately go again - regardless of venue (and not only just to look at DJ Pathan!)! More about this

Location: Birmingham Event

Intertior: Mass Stadium

Crowd: 1st / 2nd & 3rd Generation Asians

Dress: Lenghas & jeans galore - a real mix

Event Rating: 1/10

Real disappointment with this concert
