| When
one of my friends first suggested we spend a day out in
Luton, I was a bit surprised. Luton wasn't exactly known
for its sights, apart from Luton Airport maybe.
The last time
I had been to Luton was in 19… actually I won't
say because I don't want anyone to work out how old
I am, but lets just say it was a long time ago.
Back then,
the West Side Centre was the coolest part on town (well
my friends and I were eight), had now been replaced
with a supermarket and I couldn't even remember where
Zodiac Toys used to be....
However,
in the places left behind by those old memories in the
heart of Luton, a vibrant and thriving community has
grown up, which has become a great place to visit, to
shop, eat or just hang out.

| When
you walk around Lutons' Asian High Street, Bury
Park, you will see people of different ages, wearing
everything from jeans and club wear to stylish saris and
Punjabi suits (and a smile!). In fact, Luton has turned
into a pretty trendy place, one thing, my friends and
I would never have imagined ourselves saying ten years
ago and the place and the people have developed a real
identity. |

Anybody
who comes to Bury Park will soon discover that it has
a wide range of colourful and stylish boutiques to rival
the usual places, people flock to for their Asian shopping
like Southall. |

the heart of Bury Park there are many fashion retailers,
Karishma
and Fabeeha particularly caught my eye. Both shops
have a great range of outfits to suit any budget and any
occasion, and cater for all the family. Karishmas' new
shadi & designer collection had my mouth watering
